What we do!
History
We are a small software development and financial consulting company with several installed products.
Phil, the principal officer, is a New York State CPA with an extensive background in lease accounting,
finance and taxation. He also has a strong background in computer programming. Microsoft would refer to
him as an "occupational programmer". Joan, his wife, is a "professional main-frame programmer" and has
over 25 years experience in main-frame and PC software. We offer applications knowledge and programming
skills employing Visual Studio, VB for Applications and, Visual Studio.Net, We primarily use EXCEL,
ACCESS, and SQL2000 as our database software. These platforms permit development that is quick, scalable,
and results- oriented. Applications areas include leasing, personnel, accounting,
finance and taxation. We offer hands on consulting help in the areas of taxation and accounting and project
design and interfacing.
Our Goals
To support our base of clients, and respond to the needs of companies requiring short term
help using our combination of applications knowledge and software skills.
Company Profile
The company was formed in 1983 for the purpose of writing what was intended
to be the first lease accounting and analysis system to run on a multi-user
micro computer. It is named PAMS for
Portfolio Analysis and Management System (c). The product was
completed in 1991. Because of the large fallout of hardware manufacturers, the
platform PAMS was written on became
obsolete. In the face of a need for a complete rewrite, marketing was halted. It
has recently been placed back under construction and parts of the system are
currently available (see Yield Analysis Engine).
In 1994 we undertook development of the Employee Tracking System for DOS
based PC's, and completed that product within one year. In 1998, ETS
was redesigned and rewritten in Visual BASIC 6 using ACCESS2K as it's database.
It continues in use to this date.
Other less ambitious software packages include a Stable Billing System
(Trainer oriented) written in VB for Applications using EXCEL It is available
for customizing as an ancillary package to any accounting software.
We recently completed a departmental check request and history system in VB
for Applications and EXCEL. The system is in the tax department of a major film
manufacturing company. It employs a vendor database, while creating a history of
payments used to produce various reports. It has been in use for two years and
has proven to be a major contributor to gaining control over property tax
activities.
We also service a small group of tax clients directly (primarily in the real
estate industry), and have long term corporate consulting relationships in
taxation. We manage for our own account some small real estate investments.
That's who we are and what we do.....that's our story and we're sticking to
it.
